Fierce Reads recently sent a slate of YA authors on dovetailing book tours, highlighting four authors of “sour” thrilling tales and four authors of “sweet” romantasy stories. After noticing thrillers and romantasy as standouts on their forthcoming releases, the Fierce Reads team crafted a tour highlighting the two genres. “Sour and sweet are opposites that immediately came to mind,” said Morgan Rath, senior manager of publicity. “The juxtaposition between the 'Sour' elements of the thriller genre and the 'Sweet' of the romantasy genre felt like the perfect fit thematically and as a bonus led to fun engagements and activities at events. On each tour, it was wonderful to see authors, attendees, and booksellers come together and bond over a shared love of the genre!"
The Sour Tour kicked off in May, taking Nick Brooks, Angeline Boulley, Jenni Howell, and Maika and Maritza Moulite to four cities. On May 12, the complementary Sweet Tour featuring Axie Oh, Mary E. Pearson, and D.L. Taylor also made stops across four cities in four days. We’ve gathered photo highlights from the events.
